  • Change logo URL

Hello, Took some gandering around, and cannot seem to find it.

I am trying to change where you go if you click the main logo. We want our users to go to our main wordpress URL instead of the forums.

    Any help would be awesome!

    Thanks,

The logo is pointing to the base url set in the config. If you really want to change the url, you have to modify the header template. This is how it is coded by default:

    Code:
    <a href="[COLOR=#FF0000]{vb:raw baseurl}/[/COLOR]"><img src="{vb:stylevar titleimage}" data-orig-src="{vb:stylevar titleimage}" alt="{vb:phrase logo}" title="{vb:phrase powered_by_vbulletin_title}" /></a>

      Glenn,

I completely did not see that at all.. I mainly stayed at the top of the file, and was like, "Man none of this makes sense..."

When discourgaged, just keep on reading i suppose! :-)

Thanks again for your quick reply, I got things modified, and things are working how we want.

      Thanks again,

I realize this is a stupid question, but how do you upload a different forum logo?

          This is no stupid question.

I know of 2 ways to change the logo:
          • [MOD EDIT} You can use the Header feature in Site Builder to upload a custom logo.
          • The other way is to define a path to your custom logo in the AdminCP for the style you use on your forums. You find this option under AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > [Select your current style] > Style Variable Editor > ImagePaths/titleimage. There you can enter a custom URL to your logo.

There is yet another way to change the logo, by using the Quick Tools editor that appears at the very top when logged in as an Administrator. Slide the bar to Yes, then select Header and click the Edit button near the current logo.

I found that. Completely forgot it was there! Thanks.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
