Do you have spam scanning turned on at all? Either API being used? What is the threshold set to? If its 0, its scan always.

Email notifications only work if you started a thread. Email notifications of threads/users you are subscribed to still aren't working in any subversion of 5.

I think we are looking at two different things. I am looking at the 'Spam Settings' from the left menu under 'Settings' I do not see any scanning threshold. What is your navigation path to get to the 'threshold' settings you refer to.

I'd suggest upgrading to 5.1.0 now, though, do you have the Spam Management scanner turned on?

Hello, We have 5.0.5 at the present moment and this is one of the many significant issues that are not working after our upgrade from v3.x. We have many of our forums that require a 'lifetime membership' user group in order to create posts without prior moderator approval. Many of these users (after the upgrade) have been having their posts show as unapproved, and are not visible until one of the mods approves the posts. This is not happening to all relevant users, it's hit and miss in both forums and users.

I have run thru the permissions for each of the parent threads to ensure that the permissions are set correctly, yet we are still getting this issue popping up.

What other information is needed? We are looking at 5.1.0 update to fill the gap on hopefully some big fixes until 5.1.1 is released (with working email notifications again, )
