No - nothing permissions in usergroups tab :S

currently, in order to disable avatars in vB5, you have to do so in usergroup permissions. apparently, that option hasnt made its way into the avatar tab in the acp.

Have you tried Admin cp/Avatars/Avatar Manager/Avatar permissions = No?

There is also a delete option there as well. Not sure what would happen, you may want to test this before going ahead.
