I have edited a page and made some additions like adding a php module. I have saved this as a new template, am I able to use this template with the same changes on another page.

You can use it as a basis for new pages. However each page would need its own template to prevent overwriting the original. To select a template while editing a page, click the template tab near the top above add modules.Translations provided by Google.
