now that adwhirl is retiring, how can we place ads in vbulletin mobile apps?
vb mobile app is currently only using adwhirl api.

i guess the staff havent got any planning about this.
seems we are not able to place ads in mobile app for another 2 years while waiting it to fix the hole created by adwhirl retirement?

I have been lobbying for 18 months about including proper monotization, see the other thread.

AdWhirl has been retired because it is totally out of date and flawed. Everybody has left AdWhirl to use more sophisticated networks. I have been suggesting numerous CPI and CPD networks for the mobile app, such as RevMob, LeadBolt, there are lots of great ad networks out there to use http://www.mobyaffiliates.com/mobile...sing-networks/

But VBulletin don't care what their clients think, they are content to ship crap. Crap that is so far behind the curve it is unsupported within a month of release!

      Seriously it is that bad.

I would be devastated with embarrassment if I had anything to do with this product. It's absolutely garbage.

How can you go to bed at night, knowing that you spent 12 months developing something and within a month of release your product is unsupported by your single most important 3rd party as you used obsolete technology? Go back to McDonald's if they will have you.

The thing is, internet traffic is moving away from home PC's and towards mobile platforms. So why VB are spending all their efforts on VB5 connect whilst their mobile suite wastes away into a embarrassing pile of brown sticky stuff is beyond me.

hopefully you can release the adwhirl replacement before adwhirl retire on September 30th.
please take into account that it takes some time before our app upgrade approve by apple.
it will be ideal if the replacement will be out in august. (perhaps too much expectation from me)
