  • iPhone App Help

I have the iPhone app in progress, and I followed the tutorial, I'm at the part that says:

    1. Unpackage tools.zip which was bundled with this document.
    2. Create a new folder.
    3. Copy "resign.sh" and "entitlements.template" from tools.zip to the new folder.
    4. Copy the provisioning profile from step 7 to the new folder.
    5. Unpackage #######-AppleStore.1207.zip.
It will produce a folder called #######.
    6. Copy the ###### file
      into the new folder.
    7. Open the terminal and change directory to the new folder.
      Ex: cd my/new/folder/path
    8. Run the script resign.sh with the following parameters:
      - ######
      - The Bundle Seed ID (from step 6)
      - The company name (from step 8)
      - The file name of the provisioning profile (downloaded in step 7)
Example continuing with example data from steps 6-8:
      ."internet brand solutions thing"
Note: All fields are case sensitive.
I can't get that .app file that is named a bunch of numbers and letter to execute, it says that it can't be opened on this mac.
    please can someone help me?

whats the exact command you are running? should be

./resign.sh AppID BundleID "Your Name" MobileProvisioningFile

APPID without the .app part so if your app is e3728321883.app you just do ./resign.sh e3728321883 bundleid "Steve Jobs" mobileprovisioningfile

um what did you enter as your binary id?

        com.internetbrands.e3728321883

as outlined in the directions it must match directions I have seen dozens of cases where people use com.theircompanyname.e3728321883 thinking its okay to remove the internetbrands part and replacing with their own... well its not okay...

I believe this is the post I have been hoping to find. In the instructions included in the download it uses the term myApp in the example command and I just could not wrap my head around what myApp parameter was, for some reason.

          Thanks!
