  • MySQL error on import

Trying to import PHPBB3 into 4.1.7 with a clean database and install. I had done numerous test before this "gold" run and now I get this every time. My other test were done on 4.1.4...so is this an issue with 4.1.7? Should I install 4.1.4, import, then upgrade?

Yes it's a bug in the attachments import step introduced in v1.103.

    I reported it here also:
    https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...rsion-of-Impex

And someone else reported it here:

Thanks, now we need a solution. I am getting ready to pop my board over from PHPBB but hate to have to start with 4.1.4, import, then move to 4.1.7....

I'm getting this error today, with newly downloaded vB4.1.7 PL1 and ImpEx 1.104. Importing from phpBB 3.

Has the fix for this regressed? :S

Click on Database Cleanup & Restart and remove all imported data to start again. Then ensure you're using vB4.1.* as the target system.

Do you still get this error?

Ok thanks Trevor. I'm just trying again, but i believe I selected: vBulletin Suite CMS 4.0.* - 4.1.* under the cms section of the dropdown.

Is this correct (I am running the suite) or should i just use the forum only vBulletin 4.0.* - 4.1.* instead? There is no blog or CMS data to come from my phpBB anyway so I cant see anything to lose from trying the forum only option.

You're importing a forum to your forum so you need to select the Forum version you're importing to. The Blog and CMS sections are for importing from Blogs/CMS to our equivalent.

Attachments imported fine using the forum vBulletin 4.0.* - 4.1.* choice )

                      Thanks Trevor, much appreciated.
