I am sorry to be resurrecting a dead thread, but I just wanted to share that I experienced the "Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 553" error as well after importing from MyBB. As Steve suggested, the issue was resolved by running the "Update User Names" counter in the AdminCP. Thanks!

    Hi Zachery,

    I setup my birthday
[I'm the only admin after import]

Name:	10-03-2011 07-53-05.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	63.4 KB
ID:	3681617

    And the error persists.

I don't know if I already report: this
Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 458

Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 458
only appears in forumhome [no appears in blog, cms, showthread, profile or any other page].

    But still there

    * Formats a number with user's own decimal and thousands chars

    line 458: return str_replace('_', ' ', number_format($number, $decimals, $decimalsep, $thousandsep)) . $type;
Check the decimal and thousands separators in your language settings.

Other admin upgrade db to phpbb 3.0.3 and clean all plugins ... and work - thank you!

    But ...
    this error appears
Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 458

No, that would not cause the threadids to fail.

    Dear Steve,
    I'll still update the phpbb.
But I was thinking about the mistake of importing the posts table: the script always stop after a run-time [in the middle of process]
Is there any parameter in php.ini that must be adjusted to allow long running?

Another solution I thought was working with this table in pieces.

    Would a solution like this:
    1. the table split the posts in phpbb 3 shares, leave the first import of the first IMPEX
    2. concluded that after the first import, I would replace the posts table for the second part of the table and perform only the module posts IMPEX.
    3. repeat step 2 with the third party table posts.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks
