  • MyBB to vB4?

Long long time ago, I pruned our vB threads and posts and before I did that I created a backup which I imported to MyBB. Is there anyway I can re-add all those lost threads and posts back to vB4? The problem is that the current vB is running and working, but I also want to re-add all those missing posts/threads without overwriting the old ones that still exists today.

To make a long story short.

    1), Backupped my forum
2), Imported the backup in MyBB forums
    3), Pruned posts/threads from 2002 to 2006 (I never touched the 2006 - 2009 posts/threads)

Now I want to re-add the posts/threads that I pruned long ago back to vB4. But lets not forget that the MyBB backup contains ALL posts/threads, even those that I never pruned. So duplicate threads on the original forum and the MyBB backup forum still exist.

We do have a MyBB import modle in Impex:

    MyBulletinBoard (MyBB)
    Tier = 2
Source version support in ImpEx = 1.4
    • Import Usergroup
    • Import User
    • Import Forum
    • Import Thread
    • Import Post
    • Import Poll
    • Import Private Messages
    • Import Moderator
    • Import Attachment
    • Import Smilie

It will import everything, even the backups. The other caveat is to make sure you have never run Impex on the vB database before, otherwise this could overwrite some things.

I'm rather confused though, I'm getting errors like this:

      ImpEx Database error

mysql error: Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM mybbphrase WHERE dateline > 0 ORDER BY phraseid LIMIT 0 ,2000

mysql error: Table 'archives.mybbphrase' doesn't exist

      mysql error number: 1146

      Date: Wednesday 15th 2010f December 2010 08:10:35 PM
      Database: archives
MySQL error: Table 'archives.mybbphrase' doesn't exist
Can't even find the mybbphrase table.

You need to enter the correct table prefix in ImpExConfig.php.

Dear Frends I have a problem
wehen i click on "Check and update database"

          there have a massege

          Altering tables

ImpEx will now Alter the tables in the vB database to include import id numbers.
This is needed during the import process for maintaining refrences between the tables during an import. If you have large tables (i.e. lots of posts) this can take some time. They will also be left after the import if you need to link back to the origional vB userid.

You still need to uase the correct table prefix for the source data. Check the MyBB database to find out what it is.
