VB3 to VB4 on a different server

I'm having an issue transferring a database from VB3 to VB4 using Impex (on a different database).

When I try I get this error:

ImpEx Database error
mysql error: Link-ID == false, connect failed
mysql error:
Date: Monday 11th 2010f October 2010 01:50:01 AM
Database: entropiareality
MySQL error:

I am 1000% sure that the details in the config file are correct (I've been at this for hours).

The databases are located on different servers.

When I tried transferring it to a different server on the same host it worked.

When I replace the destination database details with details of a database on the destination server it works.

I've turned off all firewalls and given full permissions to the impex directory on the destination server (Windows 2008).

Any ideas?

I'm afraid that unless you have root access to both servers and can edit the permissions to allow such remote MySQL connections, then you will have to move the source database to the same server as vB.
