  • None of the tables were found (trying to import from dotNetBB)

    Since I couldn't manage to connect to the remote database, I installed SQL Server locally and then copied the database to the local SQL Server. ImpEx still can't find the tables, although it does mention the correct names of the tables.

    1. How can I determine whether I have PHP set up correctly to access mssql?
    2. Is there a way to determine whether ImpEx managed to log in to the local mssql database at all?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    edit:
    I've tried with both "dbo.SMB_" and "SMB_" for the prefix.

    I finally got this debugged. Here's what I had to do.

    1. When I used "copy database" to get a local copy of the remote database, it was still tied to the same username and password, so I had to use that username and password to log in.
    2. I had to go into SQL Server's admin and ENABLE login for that username.

    Working fine now. Still wish I could figure out how to do the import remotely.

    edit:
    For those who want details, this is the SOURCE section of ImpExConfig.php that I used, with the username and password and database changed:

    # mysql / mssql
    $impexconfig['source']['databasetype'] = 'mssql'; // mysql OR mssql
    $impexconfig['source']['server'] = 'localhost,1433';
    $impexconfig['source']['user'] = 'username';
    $impexconfig['source']['password'] = 'password';
    $impexconfig['source']['database'] = 'forum';
    $impexconfig['source']['tableprefix'] = 'SMB_';
