  • phpbb permissions

We have a phpBB 2.x forum that we're converting to Vbulletin 3.8.

We have around 30,000 user accounts and 20 forums.

By default some of these forums are private and invisible. Users are then individually assigned access to specific forums.

So we have thousands of rows of permissions stored in our phpBB database.

I ran our db through Impex, and the users, forums, and posts came through Ok.

The permissions meanwhile seem to have been thrown out.

This must have come up many times before but I can't find a solution: What's the best way to transfer permissions from phpBB to VB?

If that's impossible, then what would be the best way to reconstruct them en masse. I admit I don't quite have the hang of permissions in VB yet.

As per the the 'After the Import' instructions here:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_cleanup

...you need to redo all the permissions.
