Need some help configuring file

Hey guys and gals

I need some help configuring my ImpExConfig.php file.

I know the database names and passwords are correct.

I am having some problems with the table prefix.

The table of my current installation is deviantm_phpbb1

The table of the vbulletin installation is deviantm_forums

If it matters I am running phpbb 3.0.4


Exactly how do I enter this information into my config files

Ok I finallly configured the board so it will take my posts etc

However I am having a problem with the avatars and attachments.

Could someone give me a sample line to input to make sure I get these files

The most likely cause of that problem is that you are not using the correct paths to those files.

The correct path to the files as far as I know would be as follows

deviant-mafia.com/public_html/test/files

When I input that into the impex it says the source is not found

That means the path is wrong. Use the full and complete path to the directory containing your backup. On Unix/Linux systems you can find the complete path name by telnetting or sshing into your server, going to that directory and typing:

pwd

Got the attachments to start downloading.

However I am getting an error part of the way in. At the top I get the following error followed by gibberish.

ImpEx Database errormysql error: Invalid SQL:

At the bottom I get the following error message.

mysql error: Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes

mysql error number: 1153

Any ideas?

This is a server issue. You or your host will need to increase the 'max_allowed_packet' in my.cnf, then restart MySQL. I recommend at least 32M for this setting. If that doesn't work, try 64M.

Hi,

I have the same problem from SMF to vb. I increase the max_allowed_packet to 64 Mb, restarted mySQL, restart the import process, and I still have the same problem. It happens on a rar file.

Edit : the max_allowed_packet appears twice in the config. It's ok now
