Imported from phpBB3 to vBulletin 3.8.1 - Posts not showing up

Hello,

I've followed the guidelines/documentation and I've even run some searches here. I imported 249 threads with 2317 posts successfully using ImpEx and when you look at the forum you can see the thread counts and the Post Counts. When you go into a category/forum/section it doesn't list any posts at all and there is no "New Thread" button anywhere to be found.

I've run all of the cache/counter updates from the Maintenance menu in Admin so I'm thinking this is some obscure setting that I'm forgetting to change/update. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

The same problem.
See attach. In statistics i see that all imported. But in admincp in Forum Manager i dont see anything except "Main Forum".

With imported users problem too.
In admincp I see all imported users with correct post count and emails. But in Forum -> Comunity -> Member List - NOTHING.


What I do wrong?

UPD1: I'm forgot update cache. After update cache I see threads, but not users. Imported 412 users, i see only 79.
UPD2: Problem with users solved. Just needed to delete the imported users group.

If anybody has any insight at all I could really appreciate it. I did do a test import about a week ago and everything worked like it should but when I went to do the real import no posts/threads show up under any forums.

Since there's no "Post New Thread" buttons I really think that it's something with permissions or a setting I've forgotten or accidentally messed up but I can't seem to figure out which one it is. If anybody from vBulletin wants to take a look I'd be more than happy to give them Administrator permissions to troubleshoot the issue.

I just obtained this vBulletin license a few days ago and I'd really like to be able to use it - is there a support medium that I can use to obtain support about this issue or am I pretty much stuck figuring it all out on my own?

Edit: Btw, I just found that my MyBB > vB migration is also showing the same problem. Fortunately, I do have the New Thread button

I had a similiar issue where posts disappeared after importing PM's. I skipped the import PM step and it worked fine.

I too tested. Importing private messages is causing the problem.

Ah, darn I really don't want to have to clean the database and start over as I will have to go through and manually recreate the user groups again, perhaps I'll duplicate that table to another DB and then clean the DB and move that table back after the import.

I went through the import process all over again but this time I didn't import private messages and still I am not seeing any threads at all or a "post thread".

I'm going to have to do this step by step and see if I can't figure out what is causing this.

I actually got it all working and then I was changing settings in the Admin CP and it happened again. I did a totally fresh install on a clean database and even saw the issue where the test topic didn't show up and that you couldn't make a post in the initial test section on the forum.

I'm leaning more towards some sort of issue other than the import because I did the import 100% and it was working beautifully and then suddenly no New Thread icon and no posts showing up at all.

I too tested. Importing private messages is causing the problem.

Oops! I was working on an old copy of mybb database, and the forum I checked did not have any posts in the last 30 days. Sorry for the confusion.

Zakhar did you check the group option? i mean may be all member are under banned. that's why section topic does not showing?

And also where is vb team member? we are waiting for your reply. please reply. i want to know as i thinking to convert my phpbb3 board to Vbulleting.

When I import I seem to get an error on importing the "forum" part. It goes through fine but it pops up quickly with

All the forums go through but when I do all the updating the threads and posts don't show up under the categories from the other forum. Tho I can move them into the ones I already have setup no problem. Just curious what this problem is and why the threads don't show up under their corresponding categories?

Also when importing some of the threads and posts they say they fail, only a total of 8 but still missing. Is this maybe apart of the error?

I've done this.

Intermittently it works just as it should and intermittently I get no threads or new thread buttons.

The threads and posts are all there (as you can go out of the section and click on a post link on the right side (last post responded to) and then view and respond to the thread). Sometimes the threads and new thread button show up and sometimes they don't and I really am not sure why it's an intermittent problem.

I've even had this happen on a *blank* brand new installation of vBulletin 3.8.1 without having done any importing so I'm not sure what the issue is.
