  • Cleaner config?

    Hello again,

    I got a question about running the cleaner.php file. I just did an import with 70k posts and found out some html needs to be cleaned in the signatures.

    Standard info:
    • Clean install
    • Sourceboard: Simple machines 1.1.4
    • Targetboard: Vbulletin 3.7.1 PL1
    In the signatures I find the following tag:

    <br />

    How should I configure the cleaner to replace this with a <br>?

    Do I only need to edit the array? $replacer = array?

    Also, if I understand correctly I should configure the cleaner.php? If you don't do this and use the standard cleaner.php I assume nothing happens?

    Thanks for the support.

    You'll need to set this :

    PHP Code:
    $do_posts false;
    $do_sigs true
    Then :

    PHP Code:
    $replacer = array("<br />" => "<br>");
    If you are allowing HTML in your signatures, other wise do this to just remove the HTML :

    PHP Code:
    $replacer = array("<br />" => "");

      Thanks Jerry,

      Did I understand it correctly that if I run the file as the default cleaner.php nothing happens?

      Also, is there a good way to find residual html or can you only do it by checking posts, thread, polls, signature en pm's etc?

      Thanks again.

        Yes, by default cleaner.php is not even active, there is config within it that needs editing.

        You have to check the posts to find what HTML got though the parsers.
