password complexity issue?

hi. i am getting an invalid username and password error every time i run the program. i need to know if impex is not recognising the letter case in the source database password field.

the goons at godaddy are extremely... restrictive. gotta have upper case lower case letters and numbers in any and ALL passwords. i need to know if this is the cause of the error. and if so is there a fix?

i see. are there any other causes for the password error? the password in the file is correct.

Connection to source server failed. Check username and password.

this is the error.

i noticed there is no way to set the remote databases port. in my VB config file a port is specified. could this possibly be the problem?

Are the ports other than default ? you can append then to the hostname with a colon.

Are the source and target databases on the same host ?

i saw the port part in another thread. tried it. no go

the source is hosted by godaddy.com and the destination is on networkredux.com (best damned host on the planet)

on redux the database is localhost however as you already know on godaddy.com it isnt.

You will not be able to connect remotely to the database, you'll have to move it over to the new host.

did that with an export and then imported to the new DB. the forum was totally and completely screwed up.

i tried the no source mode with your addon but for some reason i get to an error page and there is no home button so even with closing the window and reloading i get put right back on that error page.
