  • Importing an IPB 1.3 forum onto 3.6.8

    Hey there
Well, I found a really old backup of my old forum powered by IPB 1.3 ( http://ng.keep.co.il ). I tried to import it into vBulletin using ImpEx to make a few tests on it but I just can't make it.
This is the vBulletin test forum I used to import all of the data:
    http://ng.keep.co.il/vb
First of all, it imported about 1.4K members. If you look in the member list you can see only me and my friend who registered after I merged the databases, but if you type the member ID in member.php?u=XXX you can still see the old users from the other merged forum.
Also, I imported old threads & posts. It did it all and failed with about 100 posts\threads.
When I check in a forum, you can only see the sticky threads and the rest of the threads "doesn't exist".
The old IPB 1.3 forum was on with an Hebrew translation. (which means Hebrew posts, Threads, Users and that kind of stuff)
What does causes all of this problems?

    -Nadav

I'm really sorry for my English, its pretty bad ;x
btw, the forum looks all gibberish because I didn't installed the Hebrew language on the forum yet.

Firstly, thank you for your fast reply.
but.. it didn't helped pretty much ;X
It still shows only sticky's inside forums and the member list is still empty.
      Any idea?

--edit: lol my bad, just had to put the forum details to show all posts from the beginning. but still, what can I do with the memberlist problem?

I don't understand the 'sticky's inside forums' since that is where they are supposed to be.

However there are two options you need to check to set whether or not members are viewable on memberlist:

        1. By usergroup:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Edit -> Usergroup Options -> Viewable on the Memberlist -> Yes

        2. By post count:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Listing & Profile Viewing -> Minimum Posts

There were threads in the forum, but it only imported the stickies. It was fixed due to the help of Jerry.
Thanks alot Steve, works like a charm.
