  • Duplicate posts after impex and cleaner

    So I locked my old form and I am ready to transfer live, BTW thank Steve for your help on previous questions.
    I Impex'ed and used the cleaner.php, but when I go to; maintenance/update counters and update everything, I still have multiple posts on all of my threads.
    Please help.
    Thank you

    This means you did multiple imports and unfortunately the only way to fix this is to reinstall and start all over. Sorry.

        No sorry, I do not know of any way that Impex could have imported posts twice without doing a multiple import nor do I know of any other way to fix this.

        Best I can do is most this to the Import forum and maybe Jerry will see it and have a suggestion.

            I don't know what system your coming from or the history of this, though it's very rare (near impossiable on most systems with dupe_check turned on) to get dupe data with out removing the import id's and running the module again.

            I would advise, taking a backup of the database, then running the :

            "Remove duplicate forums/threads/posts."

            From the ImpEx "Database cleanup & restart" if that doesn't do it, then it's a re-import.

              Ok tryed deleting duplicate threads and that did not work, so I deleted all imported data for the reimport.
              Now when I run the "check and update database" I get this error message.

              Possibly custom tables or incorrect prefix :

                Looks like you have the source table prefix in twice in your ImpExConfig.

                  Thanks for your help that worked.
                  I have another question though
                  How do I give My Admins the same access as the original admin account, I believe I have to update something on the config.php ? I have 3 Admins that need full access, what parameters do I use
                  Thank you very much for all of your help, I am glad I chose Vbulletin for my forum.

                    You need to set the appropriate permissions:

                    Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Administrator Permissions

                    You may need to make yourself a Super Admin in order to do this. Edit this section of config.php:

                    // ****** SUPER ADMINISTRATORS ******
                    // The users specified below will have permission to access the administrator permissions
                    // page, which controls the permissions of other administrators
                    $superadministrators = 'x';

                    ...and replace x with your userid (not user name.)
