Importing without importing users.

Is this possible? I'd like to import old threads and manually associate posts with new users, leaving the unassociated ones as guest threads. I also have the new boards set up, same names, and would like to merge in the old threads/posts into the correct existing boards on the new site. Any thoughts on this? Am I better off writing my own importer?

You'd have to write your own script to do this or find someone to write it for you.
