most of the time a shared webhosting account has neither telnet nor ssh access.

it comes down to asking your web host to dump the database to file for you, then download it, upload it to the new location and ask that host to do the restore for you.

How did you backup the database?

he only consistently reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP or phpMyAdmin can result in PHP timeout errors and an incomplete backup file.

    Please see the instructions here:

    Backup:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_backup

    Restore:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_restore

If you don't have telnet or SSH access, some people have reported success with these scripts:

    MySQLDumper:
    http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/index.php

    MySQLHotxcopy:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134821&highlight=mysqlhotcopy

You need to right-click on that page and select 'View Source' to see the real error:

    MySQL Error : Table 'freeze_forum.vbdatastore' doesn't exist

This message would indicate that you do not have a complete backup of the vBulletin database or you have not specified a table prefix in the includes/config.php file.

    • Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
    • Open the freezefusion.capsuco.com home page, then try to open another page.
    • Click the Back button to try another link.
The freezefusion.capsuco.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.
