Help! Converting from Eve

I am in the process of converting from Infopop Eve.

I have installed Vbulletin and Installed IMPEX and it is working correctly on a new server (no longer going to use infopop hosting).

I have downloaded my database from Eve and uploaded to the new host where VBulletin is running.

I have read the instructions but cannot seem to be able to find any information to tell me where to go from here.

OK I found where the ImpexConfig.php has to be modified and did that, and I uploaded the eve database file to the new host, and set the usernames and passwords as requested in impexconfig.php

When I try to run the import I get the following error message:

"Connection to source server failed. Check username and password."

I have checked this several times and it is correct.

I am pretty disapointed. Sales made this out to be pretty automated and a piece of cake even for a novice, but I am just not getting anywhere with this.

Did you restore the eve database to the mysql server?

I guess not, how would I go about doing that?

Is there anyone I can hire to take care of all this for me. I am about to go insane.

btw, the eve import is totally broken as of vb 3.61. I need to do my import tomorrow so I've made manual changes to the scripts. Jerry if I get you a sample DB I don't suppose I could snag the patch in the next 12 hours?

Yes, for my to verify if there are any changes or ImpEx needs updating I will need contacting via support and given a recent EVE mysqldump.
