percentage values next to items during import?

What do the percentage values to the left of items during import represent? I see various percentages, not always the same, and there is no indication of their meaning. Intuitively, I would expect 100% to mean a successful import of the specific data - but don't recall any that show 100%. For example, right now I'm doing another test import and am seeing 66.67% to the left of imported private messages...
