Import members from local file

After reading all the problems Yabb imports have, I thought I would try just importing the member list on its own first.

I have downloaded the member list to my computer, this is from Yabb 1 gold.

How do I import a member list from my computer?

We have an impex script for yabb se 1.5.5, I suggest to make a backup of the target database and import your yabb forum using impex, and if you have a problem to report it so we can fix it. Any known problems should have been fixed.

impexconfig help

Ill give it a shot, but I need some help with the impexconfig file here:

$impexconfig['sourceexists'] = false; - ok thats fine

# mysql / mssql
$impexconfig['source']['databasetype'] = 'mysql'; - not relevant, yabb not using mysql

$impexconfig['source']['server'] = 'http://www.mywebsite.com'; ?
$impexconfig['source']['user'] = 'ftp login'; ?
$impexconfig['source']['password'] = 'ftp password'; ?
$impexconfig['source']['database'] = its not a database.. so the URL to the yabb files?
$impexconfig['source']['tableprefix'] = ''; ? no prefix since its not a database ?

And what is my full path to Yabb uploads folder? I have no uploads folder, and say I did, what would this be used for?

So confused, but with a little help this can all be resolved!

I'm not sure what you mean by that, though you haven't said what system or version you are importing from so it makes no sense.

You do not set any of thoses details for YaBB gold, sourceexists = false is the only one. YaBB SE is the database version

The YaBB gold importer asks you for the paths to the folders at the beginning of the import, and they are paths i.e. /home/user/bob/http_docs/foum and not urls.
