  • post icon id trouble after upgrade

    when I tried to import my post icons from 3.0.7 to 3.5.1 they failed to upload, so I just uploaded them myself. Unfortunatly the post icon id# are different. I have over 50 post icons. What is the easiest way to re-number the post icon id#?

    They should have imported. Moved to Import forum so Jerry will see this.

          Hola

          Ok, you'll need to know what the old id's and the new id's are.

          Are they the default post icons or custom ones ?

            yes I have the old database/board up and running on a invalid ip to my network. I am able to access everything in the admincp now.

            I just need to know where to change the id# so that the correct post icon is displayed with my imported threads on my newly installed board.

            I have about 50 custom post icons total.

              Ok if 10 is the old id and 15 is the new one for an icon the SQL would be this :

              Code:
              UPDATE post SET iconid=15 WHERE iconid=10 AND importpostid <> 0;
              Just swap out 10 and 15 for the old and new id's.

                thanks jerry, I will give it a shot this evening. Seems simple enough.
