  • on check, "Invalid SQL: SHOW TABLES; mysql error: No database selected"

on 001 Check and update database execution:

    Code:
Database error in vBulletin:ImpEx Source 3.0.6:

    Invalid SQL: SHOW TABLES
    mysql error: No database selected

    mysql error number: 1046

Date: Friday 11th of March 2005 05:55:05 PM
    Script: http://comms.planetsidesyndicate.com/impex/index.php
    Referer: http://comms.planetsidesyndicate.com/admincp/index.php?do=nav
    i have config.php and impexconfig.php side-by-side, vars look right.

this is the third import, already have a successful phpbb and a sucessful ipb (this is another phpbb2).

this thread prompted me to try putting the impexconfig.php values directly into impex/index.php, didn't help.

Post your ImpexConfig.php file (minus the passwords.)

Are you sure your table prefix is correct? If so, fill out a support ticket at:

        http://www.vbulletin.com/members/mem...ontactform.php

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP, phpMyAdmin and FTP. Please also include a complete description of the problem.

although i have an open ticket and i'm sending this in to add to it, i discovered something interesting that i'd like to add here:

each time i execute impex's 001 Check and update database, i find a new usergroup called "Imported Users."

the potential implications are lost on me, but i think this may be significant, since this isn't behavior i'd expect from that module.

Thats the session not being written back at the end of the script as its stopping half way through. I'll follow up in the support ticket.
              I wrote ImpEx.
