  • So do I delete my phpbb files then import?

Ok, I am a bit new, so please bear with me.

I have my phpbb forum installed at www.mydomain.com/forums

I read the impex but it doesnt say anything about the main forum install. So I went to my admin tools in phpbb, and did a whole database backup. Now do I delete all my forum in the /forum directory, and then install a fresh vB there? Then do I do the impex?

You do not have to delete your phpBB files, database or forum to impport it into vB. Just install vB into it's own directory, then install Impex. Please view the online instructions here:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex

And please read the Importing HOWTO thread:

I checked both those links, but neither of them tells me where to install the vB. I am pretty lost here, but then again I dont know anything about vB

Ok, so my phpbb forum is in /forums

So I install a fresh copy of vB into any directory...say /vb

Then I install imprex into the /vb directory and go from there?
