I know you guys are going to say that my config is not edited properly, but its weird because to the best of my knowlege it is.

AFAIK the error means what it says. What's the info in your ImpExConfig.php file?

What are you importing? If it's from another databasse, then this needs to be TRUE:

sourceexists = TRUE

It would help to know what you are trying to import.

I backed up the phpbb forums and I now have a mySQL file.

I thought you set it to false if it's a file?

This is right when I click the "import/export" button by the way.

You can't import an sql backup file. You need to restore it to a databade, then edit ImpExConfig.php accordingly.

The phpBB database of course. You need to restore that backup file to a new database.

Can it be on my own server? I have already tried to do that.

The sql is 300mb, and it won't let me. Any ideas?

mysql error: No Database Selected

This error means you still do not have the correct database settings in ImpExConfig.php. The target settings should be exactly the same as in your vB config.php file. The source settings should be for your restored phpBB database.
