  • phpBB Import Problem

    Hello,

I ran the import and I have the following problems:

    1. Memberlist only shows me
    2. Avatars don't work for the users

I checked the User Listing & Profile Viewing and its set to 0 posts

Don't know why its not working..

You ran all the import modules? You updated all the counters?

Yup. Did everything at least twice. I've been on this forum for about an hour looking at other people's problems and what they got for an answer.

        Another problem..

All the imported threads say they were posted during 1969!

Edit: Just the threads show as being posted in 1969

Are you 100% sure you rebuilt the thread counters?

Make sure that the usergroup that the usergroup that the users are in has this option set to Yes:

Admin CP --> Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> [Edit] --> Usergroup Options --> Viewable on the Memberlist

                  Edit:

Is it possible to automaticly put the users in the right groups?

There is a way to move users. You can do so by going to:

Admin CP --> Users --> Prune / Move Users

                    Then set:
                    Usergroup: The old usergroup
Has not logged on for x days: 0
Join Date is Before: Leave as is
Posts is less than: Enter some really big number

Press [Find]. Select the users you want to move on the next screen, and at the bottom select the "Move" radio button, and then select the new usergroup. This will move all the users.

Or, if you just want to move users into the default registered usergroup (usergroupid: 2) then you can just delete the old usergroup and all the users will be moved into that group.

                    Edit: 1,000 posts for me

The answer to every thing in this thread is in the HOWTO, though I'm thinking that it needs to be in the manual with pictures and examples.
