Instructions for moving servers are in the online manual here:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/moving_servers

The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

    Backup:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...nce_ssh_backup

    Restore:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ce_ssh_restore

i did, however i must have done something wrong as it simply did not work. there used to be a guide for doing so, however the link i have for it is dead now (course this was back in the vB2 days).

    any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you just tried moving the whole database over, if you are migrating servers.

    Importing members

hey all... i've done some searches but can't come up with an answer.

i'm moving domains and don't care too much about importing all of the db... but i would like to at least import the members.

i tried going into phpadmin and exporting the user tb and then tried importing it into the new forum, but it didn't work.

any help would be appreciated. thanks.
