  • Importing EZBoard?

    First can you import a board from EZ-board?

    Second, all I want to import are the threads. Is there an easier way to import it all instead of downloading importex and all that jazz. It took me six years just to get the import/import.php part to work. I really don't want to do through all that agian if I don't have to. I am not all that web inclined...

    Yes you can import from EZ-Board. You can request an EZ-Board import from the Members Area.

      I'm sorry if this sounds ignorant but what members section? Here or where?

      Could you be a little clearer, I just looked in the vbulletin (here) member's section and I see nothing that applies to importing or ezboard...

        The importers can be found here: www.vbulletin.com/members/import.php

        You will need your customer number and password to access the Members' Area.

            Hey ChaosJester,

            I know you have your answer already but yes you can and they do a great job of it. Freddie did it for my forums and it went very smooth. Only bad thing is it does not map users. I have a couples scripts that may help you out.

            PHP Code:
            /*
            These are a few queries I found useful. You will of course have
            to know the "userid", "username", "postuserid", "postusername",
            "thread", "posts", Etc before you use the scripts.
            */

            /* ---  GetTotalUserPost.sql  --- */
            SELECT COUNT(postid) AS posts
            FROM post
            WHERE userid
            ='';

            /* ---  PostUserIDUpdate.sql  --- */
            UPDATE post
            SET userid
            ''
            WHERE username ''

            /* ---  PostUserNameLoopUp.sql  --- */
            SELECT
            FROM post
            WHERE username
            ''

            /* ---  ThreadUserIDUpdate.sql  --- */
            UPDATE thread
            SET postuserid
            ''
            WHERE postusername ''

            /* ---  ThreadUserNameLoopUp.sql  --- */
            SELECT *
            FROM thread
            WHERE postusername
            ''

            /* ---  UpdateTotalUserPost.sql  --- */
            UPDATE user
            SET posts
            ''
            WHERE userid ''
