You dont need any of the phpbb files, just the phpbb database

Hi there

I'm going to upgrade from phpbb 2.08 to vb 3.01. Currently my forum is sited in my /forum/ folder, and I have every intention of keeping it there . Presumably I have to upload the vb files there... but what about the pre-existing phpbb files, which I'm guessing are needed for the importing process? What do I need to do there?
