    For those of you that have gotten the app to work properly, but you're getting a white page when trying to access it through a page tab... If you originally created your app before the recent FB changes, make note of all your URLs for your app in your FB developer area and then delete the app and start a new one. Then take your new ID and secret and plug it into your vb app builder and republish the files and re-upload them to your server. You'll also need to update your app ID and secret in the main vB admin control panel under Settings > Options > Facebook App Options. Then go through the instructions on adding a page tab and try accessing it again. I was having the same problem back in February when I originally bought this thing and finally gave up after spending way too much time on it. I finally had a chance to revisit it today and decided to just start over...and luckily it worked. And it didn't take that long to do.

    I noticed when I re-did the app on Facebook that there were different fields available for the new app than the original one I did back in February. I'm not sure why the old app would not reflect changes that Facebook has made?!?!? I also didn't change any of the settings on the Advanced page. There were alot of new ones listed there that weren't listed for the old app and the FBML one was gone now since it's deprecated. It was still listed on the old one. Again...I'm not sure why. So maybe some of those parameter changes are the ones that have been mentioned in previous posts as being needed to get the integration to work.

    Hope this helps...

    Basically when the vB team launched this, they found it straight forward to install on to their FB pages. But since then FB have changed their structure and it seems, at least in my opinion, that vB aren't overly worried about revisiting the issue (as their own app is already integrated).

    PS. They have marked this as a 'minor' 'feature request'...! Direct link to vote is:

    I have voted.

    I can't still possibly understand why we need to vote for a product that we have bought, to work. It should have been working in the first place.

I had to view profile page and then click the link to add to page from there but Facebook went and got rid of profile pages..... So this is what I did.......

    I created a file AddPageTab.php with this code:

    Code:
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"  xmlns:fb="https://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml">
      <head>
        <title>My Add to Page Dialog Page</title>
      </head>
      <body>
        <div id='fb-root'></div>
        <script src='http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js'></script>
        <p><a onclick='addToPage(); return false;'>Add to Page</a></p>
        <p id='msg'></p>

        <script>
          FB.init({appId: "APP_ID", status: true, cookie: true});

          function addToPage() {

            // calling the API ...
            var obj = {
              method: 'pagetab',
              redirect_uri: 'APP_URL',
            };

            FB.ui(obj);
          }

        </script>
      </body>
    </html>
    where says APP_URL that is the https://apps.facebook.com one enter full url including the https:// and also the trailing / at the end

    Then when you open your web browser and surf to the AddPageTab.php you will just get in top left corner "Add to Page" click that and you will get a Facebook popup to add to a Facebook page.... (Note: will need to be already logged into Facebook)

    It works - in a way. The app shows in the frame, but the facebook top and rightfram shows also. With a scrollbar. So it dont work as it should.... :\

    Thanks for that. Problem is that when vBulletin launched this app you could add it to a Facebook page easily. Unfortunately something has changed in the meantime which has stopped it working. Now that you've logged it, hopefully someone there will actually test this from scratch, using a freshly built app and trying to add it a Facebook page tab. Cheers

    I'm pretty sure I've been adding the app to the correct page. I have two different sets of apps and pages, actually, and neither have worked.

    Hi tpearl5 - you are right that you get a blank page after following the latest instructions. However, have you double checked that the app wasn't actually added to your FB business page? It could be that there is no "Success Message" in the vB app at the moment to let you know it worked.
