According to Facebook, you need your own. One that is assigned to your domain.

You don't need to change completely to https, you just need to have a certificate for your site (or the section of your site) where the app will be hosted. My site uses http:// normally despite having a certificate for the whole domain.

Speak to your host, tell them what's needed and they'll be able to help set it up for you

    https & Facebook App

I've never worked with https before. Hopefully, we don't have to setup https for our entire site like vBulletin.com does.

Is https used only for the connection to Facebook? If so, are setup instructions included for https (we run dedicated Centos).

    Thanks. -- Rik
