If you can't get it working, please open a support ticket. In the ticket include:
    • Admin Username
    • Admin Password
    • SMTP Server Name
    • SMTP Port
    • SMTP encryption (Probably should be TLS always these days)
    • SMTP Username (the email address)
    • SMTP Password (password for the above email address)

The only other two pieces of information are the username and password you want to use. If you do not know the username and password that you want to use then create a new email address within cPanel and write down the username and password.
Thank you very much! I'll give it a try! I hope it works this time. As you wrote, the host doesn't seem to understand the problem. They've told me they've made some changes to my account, but the problem hasn't been solved yet. So I have no choice but to try your solution with Cpanel.

I don’t think your hosts understand the issue.

The fact they can log in to your forum is entirely unrelated to an SMTP authentication error.

Send them the authentication error and ask them to give you the correct credentials.

The fact they think vBulletin can fix authentication issues with their own SMTP server shows that they do not understand the issue.

I asked the help of my web hosting and gave them access to my forum with an admin username to help me and they replied this :

    Hi,

    Thanks for the login information.

I have successfully accessed the URL: https://forum.edengenesis.ws/ with the provided logins. I am afraid that this needs to be checked by Vbulletin. Please contact Vbulletin to fix the issue.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us. We are available 24x7.

I'm afraid they can't do anything unless you tell me what I need to ask them to do in order to solve this ongoing issue.. I'm losing members who are fed up trying to registering on my forum right now... I really need to find a solution to this issue.

Yes, the SMTP provider of your email addresses is us (Shock Hosting LLC). To further check on your email account connectivity, It would be great if you reply to this ticket with the information requested in the previous reply. i.e, email address and its password and the screenshot of the configuration settings used in vBulletin application.
If they know what to do, I'm sure they'll help me solve this problem...

They have already made some changes to my namecheap (domain name hosting) account and said it should work now. However, I'm still not receiving the registration emails and neither are my users.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.... Do you mean that instead of "myusername@mail.com", I should write: "myusername+mail.com"?

I made the change, but it doesn't seem to work :

Your SMTP provider should have this information available.
    • Usually it is port 587 and TLS today.
    • If your SMTP provider is out of date then they could use port 465 and SSL. However, both of these have been deprecated in common usage.
    • I don't think anyone uses port 25 (insecure) externally anymore.
