  • [Forum] contentid error after sending visitor message

    Hello vBulletin staff,
I'm using vbulletin 4.2.5 and after sending visitor message I have an error:
A required field named contentid is not filled or filled in incorrect value.
    Any suggestions?
P.S important to say that when you back to user's profile -> you'll see the visitor message you've sent.

Hmmm... this value wouldn't be known until the visitormessage is actually created on the server. Is this a one-time occurrence or does it occur with every visitor message?

Does it occur before or after the page reloads to the user's profile to show their personal activity stream?

it happens every time you send visitor message, after sumbitting the message.

Does the issue occur in English without any addons enabled?
Does the error change or disappear when you're in Debug Mode on your site?

You may want to use a test environment to test this in. This is just a copy of your live site that isn't accessible to the public.

this problem fixed by disabling logip + disable problematic Ajax.
Now there's a problem editing visitor message, after pressing edit it shows error like this message already deleted or doesn't exist.
          any suggestions?

Do you have mod_security installed on the server?
