vBulletin doesn't use Java or a JDK. Where is this error coming from exactly?

Invalid File Data error on graphic upload attempt

I am unable to upload any graphics to my site. I keep getting "Invalid File Data {filename}.jpg.

Where {filename} is the name of the file.
