That is how additional groups work. You aren't limited in how many you have. I don't have a work around at this time.

    Thanks for your reply Wayne.

I tried that but I cant make it work the way I intended to. User has UG5 as primary and UG10 as additional. I want to replace UG10 with UG20 when certain number of reputation is met via user promotion.

    Tried the following promotion settings...

    Usergroup: UG5
    Promotion Type: Additional Usergroups
    Move User To Usergroup: UG20

    Usergroup: UG10
    Promotion Type: Additional Usergroups
    Move User To Usergroup: UG20

The first one only seem to work but it adds UG20 to the user, it does not replace the UG10. So the user will have both UG10 and UG20 as additional usergroups.

You need to create two different promotions. One for the primary usergroup. One for the secondary usergroup.

  • Promotion for Users in Both Primary and Additional Usergroup

    Say....

    User1:
    Primary Usergroup: UG10

    User2:
    Primary Usergroup: UG5
    Additional Usergroup: UG10

User Promotion based on Reputation, and promotion type set as Primary Usergroup, UG10 to UG20

Both qualified, who gets promotion to UG20? From my understanding only User1. Am I correct? If yes, what should I do to apply the promotion to both users?

    I want to achieve this...

    User1:
    Primary Usergroup: UG20

    User2:
    Primary Usergroup: UG5
    Additional Usergroup: UG20
