How to get Prev Post / Next Post working in 4.2.4?

Hi,

On my forum, the hybrid view is the default because my users hate the linear view. In both the hybrid and threaded mode, each thread has a Prev Post/Next Post navigational feature right under the window that lists the thread titles. Unfortunately, it's not working on my forum and I don't see any setting to control it.
When I hover above Prev Post/Next Post, there's a little message saying "javascript:showPreveNextPost(0)" & "javascript:showPreveNextPost(1)".

Surprisingly, the "Prev Post/Next Post" navigation works in the threaded view but not hybrid.

I already tried with add-on/hooks disabled. It still didn't work. I've tested this on my dev site, with a fresh install and on several other forums not related to me. Same problem. Please help me fix this because our threads are very long and we need that feature.

Thanks Wayne. Nothing appears other than the message " No Javascript on this page

If <script> tags have a "type" attribute, it should equal "text/javascript" or "application/javascript". Also scripts must be parsable (syntactically correct)."

That messages also appears when I try it with threaded mode, except that with threaded mode, you can get to the next and previous posts. I've tried this on 3 different computers, using different browsers and even using other people's vbulletin set-ups and the result was the same- nothing in hybrid.

I'm not very good at this but I was able to see this in the Firefox error console when I click on those items:

TypeError: pn[curpostid] is undefined
(removed)/clientscript/vbulletin_thrdpostlist.js?v=424 (line 11, col 705)

I don't get that error with threaded mode.

And here is what I get using the google error inspector:

Will have to investigate. I don't see this reported previously. Though, few sites use threaded and hybrid modes.

Thank you very much Wayne. I'll check back often. Due to the volume and nature of our conversations, my users won't use anything but the hybrid mode.

Okay, I will set up some test cases this weekend and try to figure out what is causing it. My test install of vB4 doesn't currently have a lot of content so that will have to be added.
