[Forum] What are the orphan threads?

Hi, lately I happen to appear in my forum posts that post: 0 Thread, 20 post



I understand that this happens because it does not identify the first post of the thread as initial, but as normal post. And for that reason when entering the thread gives error of not found.

What code identifies and differentiates the first post from the topic as the initial one? And what code do the other messages have that are not the first?

Thread starters have their postid listed as the firstpostid in the thread table. Replies do not.
