Subject Title Spam

Lately we've been getting hammered with spam. We're using Spam-O-Matic and they catches many of them, but the issue is spammers who are posting the URL in the subject and not the body. I can't figure out how to catch these. Any ideas?

Even better would be a way to prevent these guys from registering in the first place

Not sure what spam-o-matic is, but the Askimet built into vB4 was updated in 4.2.4 to pass the title as well the content to the askiment service, for checking.
