[Forum] Cant QUOTE or EDIT on Firefox (Chrome works right)

So from like five days ago I, and all the users of my forum that use Firefox, cant quote or edit on my vBulletin Forum.
I thought that maybe it was a bug or something like that because, for example, I have a BBCODE for Spoilers that works allright on Chrome but on Firefox it doesnt.

So today I made a backup, and I upgraded the forum. 10 minutes later I tried to quote and... I couldnt.

I looked for a solution on google and I didnt find anything. Then... When I was writing this.... SURPRISE, the QUOTE started to work (but EDIT wasnt) and I came here to delete everything but in just one minute... everything was wrong again: If we use firefox, we cant quote or edit on firefox.

Right now we are like this: We can quote, then we cant. We can, we cant, we can, we cant... What is happening?

More info: No, I didnt modify anything since the first day that I installed the forum, only CSS.

    Can anybody help me?

    Link: http://akibaworld.es

    Thanks!

    Please try the following:

    1. To disable the plugin/hook system completely, edit includes/config.php and add the following code:
    Just below
    Code:
    <?php
    enter
    Code:
    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
    2. Now go to AdminCP > Style Manager
and create a new style with no parent.
Now browse your forum using this new style.

Do you still have the same problem?

So I add the code like you said and I created a "test" here: http://akibaworld.es/forum.php?styleid=14

Now, I can quote and edit there, and also in my normal style too... But like one of my users said this: "Well, I dont know why but know I can quote and edit, but just here, for example I cant edit a post that I created yesterday..."

I dont know if is an error or what, but Im thinking on open a ticket to vBulletin. I never opened a ticket before but... if I need it I will, cause there are another bugs like the BBCODE for "spoilers" that I said...

More Info: We CANT edit anything that is older than "today" (I dont know if I explained it correct, but I wanted to say that we cant edit a post that was created like for example... 3 weeks ago). So YES, I still having the same problem.

What Can I do... maybe send the ticket?

Yes, but since the first day, that was, the Time Limit on Editing of Posts is set on 0. So they "can" edit... But now they cant.

So I still having those problems... :/ Do you think that I need to send the Ticket? (@Mark.B too)?

The problem is... why on Firefox doesnt work but on Google Chrome it does? I can't understand it... Also in Edge doesnt work, but in my mobile it does work...

http://akibaworld.es/?styleid=15 does not give me a default style:

As for the blank editing: What vB version are you running? And what php version is on the server?

                  Ok, lets see:

                  a) As you can see at the bottom of the forum, Im using vb4.2.3 (Patch Level 1)
                  b) This bug/error/whatever was not in the forum a week ago... It magically appeared now.
                  c) Right now my Hosting/server has PHP v 5.6.22
                  d) I just have the forum on my site, thats why I just have a template like this one: http://akibaworld.es/?styleid=1
                  e) MORE INFO: Right now on the AdminCP I can see this:

                  Link: http://puu.sh/pO04v/38562c3460.png
                  Translation:

Spanish: Actualmente hay 6 plantillas(s) personalizadas que necesitan ser actualizadas o revertidas. Es posible que algunas secciones de vBulletin no funcionen si no haces esto.
English: There are currently 6 custom templates ( s ) that need to be updated or reversed . It is possible that some sections of vBulletin may not work if you dont do this.

Screenshot of a part of one template with "errors" http://puu.sh/pO0dg/8cc29aa0cd.png

                  Thanks again for helping me.

Ok, let's go through this and try to get the bottom of it.

Firstly, there's no bug in 4.2.3 that would cause this. If there was, we'd have hundreds of customers reporting it....myself included, since I'm running 4.2.3 on my own site also.

So, the next thing to look at, assuming you have disabled plugins via the config.php file as mentioned above, is custom styles. We cannot provide any support for custom styles, so you need to be using a *completely* default style for testing purposes. This will elimate any customisations as being the cause.

The notice in your admincp means there are templates that need to be reverted. These will be in your custom style, and is precisely why we need you to test this using a *completely* default style. That style will look like the one I posted in the screenshot. The link you've provided to styleid 15 is not a completely default style. You need to create a new style *with no parent*. It is no use if it is a child of another style.

The lack of content in an edit window is most commonly caused by security software running on the server. You should ask your host if they are running mod_security or similar software. If they are, ask them to temporarily disable it and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then they can turn it back but they will need to establish which rule is causing the problem, and disable or amend it so that it doesn't prevent your installed software from functioning correctly. If they won;'t do that, then you are looking at getting a new host.

Ok. First, I thought that it wasnt a bug from 4.2.3, cause as you said, if that is a bug, everybody will be having the same problem. Second, yes, I did what you told me. I put that line on the config.php and I understand what you said now, sorry, I never had a huge problem with vBulletin and thats why I don't know how to explain myself correctly (also Im spanish, so...).

I know that you told me to create a completely default style, and this are the options, as you can see I have to choose a parent (the default one). http://puu.sh/pO6CJ/d67a649611.png >>> http://akibaworld.es/?styleid=16

Ok, so third: I talked with my hosting (dinahosting) and I told them what happens. Then, they told me to "make or do that error" in order to see what was happening. I did it and I saw in the console this:

                      Code:
(With just JS): "Un XMLHttpRequest síncrono en el hilo principal está desaprobado por sus efectos negativos en la experiencia del usuario final. Para más ayuda vea http://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/"
(With all): The same error + ERROR: http://akibaworld.es/ajax.php
They told me to way and then, they add an exception on mod_security and know it works... OK. Here you can see it: http://puu.sh/pO6OT/7aebf0b421.gif The support also told me that this was strange and maybe the vb4.2.3 was the problem... well I dont think so.

But know I have a new problem: First one is that I dont have the advance quick response... So I searched this problem and i found this (click me). So I went to that options and I found this:
Options: http://puu.sh/pO7BT/b491cb999b.png << So you can see that everything is fine. The BBCODES are correct, no problem there... But in Chrome, Firefox and Edge this is like this:
                      My reply option: http://puu.sh/pO7DV/49a0ef27a9.png
My advance-reply option: http://puu.sh/pO7FV/4155e72de8.png << As you can see this is corrupted.

I thought: Mmmm, maybe it doesnt have the icons and thats why... nope. As you can see here (http://puu.sh/pO7J1/e974a0aa2d.png) Everything is correct. I dont understand whats going on...

Chances are you have custom buttons that aren't present in the default style.

The default style was only suggested as a diagnostic tool. You can now go back to your normal style and see if it works there.

Well, as you can see, the screenshots that I posted are on my normal style, not in the default style, so t I dont have the advance quick reply all the skins, and I have it a week a go (then the first bug appeared) and my users can not used that. For example, here you can see that a user says that the [hr] is not working: http://akibaworld.es/showthread.php?...8808#post18808

I was using this (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=264219) to have an advance quick reply, but I enable-disabled it and nothing changed. So I dont know what to do...

                            EDIT:
So, I thought: Now that I finish, Can I remove the ...?
                            Code:
                             define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
I did it, and everything turned right. The only "problem" is that now I have to go to everypost that had a [HR]... then click edit, do nothing and save in order to have the "----------------------------------------------" again...
