Sporadic emails

Many users and moderators are complaining about not receiving post notifications on thread updates. How can we try to narrow down where the problem is coming from?

On the front page of your admincp, does it say there are any emails in the queue?

Yes, It is usually between 0 to 10

You need to set that to yes in order for the cron and batch based system to work.

Ive identified some forum users willing to help test the problem, people that are not receiving the automated emails from the forum, but receive them fine when I directly email them. I made the changes and still no emails. Whats the next step?

Does it now say there are 0 emails in the queue?

Have you checked your server maillogs to make sure the emails aren't being bounced for some reason?
