  • [Forum] Space (in bytes) that a user's total attachment usage may consume has a max value of 4GB

This is obviously due to the fact that the database column is of type Int, which has a max value (unsigned) of 4 GB. My question is: Are there any potential pitfalls to changing this column to a Bigint so that we can use larger values? We would like to give a specific usergroup large (But not unlimited) storage space of 20GB, but cannot do so due to the field limitation. I can't think of any major issues to modifying this column to Bigint, but thought I'd ask first.

I don't see a reason why it would cause problems but it has never been tested.
