Importing mybb 1.8 database via Impex to Vbulletin 4.2.x

Hi,

i was just testing the impex system to import my mybb 1.8 database to vbulletin 4.2.3 but its sad that its showing only mybb 1.4 in the impex. I tried that but can't able to import the users from old database and got this error:

Can someone help me importing the database to vbulletin 4.2.3.

Also tell me if i have to import the mybb 1.8 database to Vbulletin 3.xx and then upgrading to vb4?

What is your ip address for that user in the mybb user table?

In the user table this user is the first user that is me admin. And the ip address it has in the user table are: RegIP:75cb805c, LastIP:75cb8d41

Now what to do?

And one more thing, i have posted an issue to have support for mybb 1.8 as impex has onl;y support for mybb 1.4, that may be a problem while importing....

It appears at some point mybb changed to use ip2long instead of storing the ip address normally. I responded on the tracker with a fix to get users importing I think. Let me know if you get stuck somewhere else. I suspect you will but don't have time to look at it further tonight

Great mate It worked and users have been imported successfully in Vb 3.8.9. I am going to try it with vbulletin 4.2.3 now.

Have imported everything except attachments. How can i import the attachments? The attachments are stored in uploads folder of mybb in different folders datewise, and i used the /uploads folder while importing attachments. But its giving not found error while importing. Please help.

Did you make sure to use the full system path and not a local path when doing the attachment import?

hi, i write here because i am having issue with the same thing.

I have a mybb 1.8 database, and i am trying to convert it for vbulletin 4.2.3 suite.

I edited the impex config.php, uploaded it to /forum/impex and now it appears in the admin control panel.

I chose mybb 1.4 and vb 4.2.X but when i select to check the database it says that there are many errors with some table. Am i wrong something? could you help me and providing the dl dlink to the same version you are using please?
