    I converted two sites and the timings show no slowdown. Also, SPDY speeds up the page download, and requires SSL.

    This is a problem in the same area with the exact same release. Posting it here should avoid repeating what has already been repeated in several threads dealing with SSL.

      It is a totally different issue, if I have read your post right you are having an issue with your editor since changing to SSL, I am not sure that the two are related as I have used SSL with no editor issues, anyway have you tried changing the editor to see if the problem is still there and is it happening with a default style?

        I am using the default style. I have switched back and forth between SSL and non-SSL. It always fails with SSL and always works without. What do you mean by 'changing the editor'?

          Edit Profile -> General settings.

          Near bottom you will see options for three different editors.

            I don't see the point of changing the editor for just me. In any case, the editor works. The buttons just don't show up. Which would also be true if I changed to the basic editor.

              I didn't mean you should change your editor, did you try the other editors to see if the issue happens with them?

                No. But, it can't happen with the basic text box since it has no toolbar to miss, and the standard editor is the same except for the lack of WYSIWYG.

                  Do you know that the problem is that it's requesting the images via http? That seems like the obvious, but I've seen other people talk about running with SSL and I don't think they had to make a lot of code edits, if any. Edit: oh, never mind...probably those people redirected all http to https as mentioned earlier. Although wouldn't that cause a warning?...

                    I am redirecting all http. And, that would normally show a missing image icon.

                      Hmm...did you check the console for js errors? I guess I'm not much help. I did search at vbulletin.org to see where I had seen people mention it before, and I found this thread: https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=274711 In the last post the guy says he has his site working, so maybe you could try contacting him. But he also mentions that the "mixed content" warning is a small yellow symbol that he ignores, so who knows.

                        Thought of that too late. I'd have to shut down the site to try again. Setting up a test site means setting up SSL on another site.

                          I may have found it. There are threads that say you must change in headinclude: var AJAXBASEURL = "{vb:raw ajaxbaseurl}"; to var AJAXBASEURL = "https://www.mydomain.com";.

                          But, a trailing slash must be included.
