  • [Forum] Blank forum due to broken thread for logged-in users only

I have a problem that forums suddenly turn blank. This has now happened the second time. I have tried everything that's in the usermanual for dealing with blank pages, which did not help with the issue. The reason for this happening seems to be a broken thread.

The issue also only occurs for logged-in users, and it is cross-browser. Here's the forum currently affected. http://viggo-works.com/vbulletin/for...ews-and-Events

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

I clicked several times there and every time it loaded fine. Anyway, did you do any changes to your forum before the issues started to happen?

No, no changes. If you view as a guest, everything is fine. So, you wold have to get an account if you want to help. Registration is set on user activation.

I've just registered and browsed through the forums also the linked from above and haven't encountered any blank pages.

Thanks! Maybe it's just admins and moderators that have the problem then. I have moved the broken threads to a separate forum for now. http://viggo-works.com/vbulletin/for...Broken-threads

if that happen again check your server error_log (if you don't know where they are, ask your host)? and also recheck the link below for known causes of blank or white pages and the steps to resolve these:

We have now been able to suss out that it has something to do with redirects. When a redirect expires, the forum it is in goes blank. In the admin panel, I can use the thread move function to move the remains of the redirect away into a different forum. Then the original forum starts working again. Only admins and moderators seem to be affected by the problem.

Any hints which database tables I should look at to find the broken entries?
