    Today i got that error msg on mine forum

    i tried to edit max_allowed_packet on my.cnf whitout success and now i can't see that error msg...

    many other areas from forum are working, like admincp/ blogs.php userprofile

    You getting that error because there are a lot of today's birthday members
    here are some solutions :

    Edit max_allowed_packet value in my.cnf file and restart mysql server.
    AdminCP-Settings->Forum Home: Options->Display Today's Birthdays? temporarily set it to no. ( return it to yes tomorrow maybe because a lot of members register with 1/1 date )

      Hello AliMadkour,

      Yes, there are a lot of members with 1/1 birthdays date, cuz when we changed from SMF to Vbulletin we did it to import all users...
      I tried max_allowed_packet with 500M whitout success, how much memory u suggest to use?

      Actualy i'm using today's birth off, to get board working at least.

        I think 500MB is too big
        Check if your new value applied AdminCP->Maintenance->Diagnostics->System Information ->Select MySQL Variables and submit
