Unfortunately facebook has discontinued the API vBulletin 4 relied on. vBulletin 5 has been updated in 5.1.4/5. I don't know when/if any changes will get back ported.

      Hello Zachery,
Thank You for the right guidance..
Its bad to hear " facebook has discontinued the API vBulletin 4 relied on".. As few of my sites are still able to run facebook integration properly using vbulletin 4.. but rest are not.

Is there anyway, we can try to get this work technically ?

Its good that vbulletin team has fixed this for Vbulletin 5.x..
It will be greatly appreciated if you also take care of vbulletin 4 customers.. as SOCIAL MEDIA integration is a must have feature for forum success today..
Hope VB team works on this ASAP.

      Regards,

It requires rewriting the entire facebook code, more or less. In short, no not that I'm aware of.

Its been discussed in our management meetings, but no decision one way or the other has been made at this time.

FYI, according to this ticket, it'll be fixed in 4.2.3 beta 4: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-16045

There is no date for a full release, and it is likely to be a long time as there are benefits around keeping it in beta at this stage.

You should go ahead and launch on the beta: unlike vB5 betas which generally contain more major changes, the vB3 and vB4 betas will be supported by the vBulletin Support Team.
