What are the differences between the following variables:

$bbuserinfo
$vbulletin->userinfo
$memberinfo

Also I notice that $memberinfo only works in certain templates.

The difference is, that (in general) they contain the same content but it depends on where and in which script of the code you are.

$bbuserinfo is a copy of $vbulletin->userinfo but only works in templates. There is no $bbuserinfo in plugins, in plugins you need to use $vbulletin->userinfo.

$memberinfo only works in some templates, I believe in profile related templates and contains the info of the profile you are viewing. $bbuserinfo always contains the info of the user currently logged in.

In postbits $post contains much of the info of the user who made the post.
