  • Workflow For A Simple Color Change

I'm fluent in css. I was baffled.

I had this class (.navtabs li a.navtab ) and I wanted to change the color of the border ( border-left: 1px solid #cedfeb; border-top: 1px solid #cedfeb. I've searched for "cedfeb" in the theme. I've went through all my modified values in the Style Variable Editor. I typed in "border" and got nothing that looked right. I then went through all the unmodified variables, one at a time. Finally, I found it. I'd say it took me 12 minutes. Of course, it was labeled "navbar_tab_bevel".

I certainly didn't search for THAT.

Clearly I'm doing this in an idiotic way. I'm used to finding the css I need to edit in 3 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

You can either use the stylevars, or you can override that CSS rule directly in the additional.css template by redefining the parts you need to override.

Oh, okay. I didn't realize I could over ride the settings without causing problems of some kind.
